Synthropia

For auto repair shops

You're under a car. Your phone still gets answered.

While everyone's hands are greasy, Synthropia answers, takes the make, model and symptoms, and books the service into your calendar with a text confirmation.

Tonight at 21:47

  1. 21:47 A driver calls: brakes squeal and the MOT is next week. You closed at 18:00.
  2. 21:47 Synthropia answers, takes make, model, year and symptoms, and checks your slots.
  3. 21:48 It books Wednesday 8:00 for inspection, notes the MOT deadline, and texts the confirmation.
  4. 21:49 The job is in your calendar with the car details attached.
  5. 08:00 Your team sees the call, the recording and the transcript in your dashboard.

Why garages lose jobs on the phone

Drivers call when everyone's under a car.

Greasy hands, ringing phone

Diagnostics pay by the hour and need both hands. The driver doesn't wait — they call the next garage.

Symptoms need capturing

Make, model, year, noise, light on the dash — two minutes of facts that decide whether it's a 30-minute check or a full day.

MOT deadlines decide

Nobody calls early. They call the evening before the deadline — and book wherever answers.

What it handles

The calls your shop takes every day

  • Service bookings into real free slots, with make, model, year and symptoms noted.
  • MOT and inspection deadlines captured so urgent ones go first.
  • Rescheduling so freed ramps get filled.
  • Prices, hours and process from your own list — never invented.
  • Text confirmations with time, address and what to bring.
  • Parts and repeat-customer messages taken and flagged.

What it won't do

Where it stops

  • It doesn't diagnose cars or promise a fix over the phone.
  • It doesn't quote repairs — only inspection terms you've approved.
  • It doesn't pretend to be human.
  • Breakdowns that sound dangerous get your safety wording plus escalation.

Triage wording and booking rules are set with you during setup.

Run your own numbers

What do missed calls cost your business?

Move the sliders to match your business. Nothing here is our claim — it's your estimate, made visible.

Busy line, lunch break, after hours. Your phone system's missed-call log will tell you.

As opposed to a quick question you'd answer later.

Callers who don't leave a voicemail or call back.

Use a typical first appointment. A new customer is usually worth far more over time, but let's be conservative.

Case study

Real results, when they're real

Our first paying customers are dental clinics. An auto-shop case study comes once a shop approves it — with real job numbers. Not before.

Auto shop FAQ

Does it diagnose the car?
No — it collects the facts a mechanic needs (make, model, year, symptoms, warning lights, deadline) and books the inspection. Diagnosis stays with your team.
Can it quote a repair?
Only what you've approved, like inspection fees. Repairs become a booked inspection or a message for you to quote — it never invents a number.
What about breakdowns at night?
It books the nearest slot, notes the symptoms, and — if you've set it — gives your recovery or emergency number. Dangerous-sounding calls escalate immediately.
Can it book into our calendar?
Yes — Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook both work, and we can build a bespoke integration for your workshop software. Tell us what you use and we'll say honestly how long it takes.
Will drivers accept an AI?
It says it's an AI, takes the details fast and gets them booked. For a driver with an MOT next week, a booked Wednesday beats voicemail.
Which languages does it speak?
Polish and English in production, plus Ukrainian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese and Mandarin tested with real callers. Ask about your customers' languages.
Do we keep our number?
Yes. Forward the calls you can't take — under cars, lunch, after hours.
